with TA Education Manager, Lucy Toghill

If you have a child with TS in your school or moving up to your school for the start of the new school year, then this webinar will teach you basic Tourette Syndrome awareness, highlight some of the possible barriers to learning and recommend strategies that could easily be implemented to best support the child in school.

We will also be addressing the issue of the growing number of cases of sudden onset of tics since the COVID-19 pandemic, and how this can impact a childs education, plus strategies for managing this in the classroom.

About our Guest Speaker

Lucy joined TA after dedicating 15 years to teaching in mainstream primary schools. With a son who has Tourette’s, she was motivated to make a positive impact for others facing similar challenges. As our Education Manager, she develops and oversees our CPD-accredited educational training programme. Lucy provides support to those navigating difficulties within the education system and will consult with schools and education professionals to enhance their understanding of Tourette syndrome.

The session will run for one hour and will include time at the end for audience questions.

Tickets cost £5 to join.

Bookings will close at 5pm the day before the event.
