While social media and popular culture have contributed to raising awareness about ADHD, prevalent myths, misconceptions, and potentially harmful recommendations persist.

In this session, we will:

• Explore the causes and effects of ADHD and address some of the many misconceptions and myths surrounding this diagnosis.
• Explore the impact and prevalence of co-occurring conditions.
• Consider strategies and interventions to support learning and social development.
• Consider what 'good practice' looks like for children with ADHD in the home and in the community.
• And most importantly, consider how the strengths and skills of children and young people with ADHD can be harnessed and celebrated
