Move for Tourette's 2024

Our TS Awareness Month fundraising campaign!

Move for Tourette's 2025 will launch early 2025

What's the challenge?

You have the freedom to set your own goal and decide when, where, and how to complete your challenge within the designated period, from 15 May to 15 June.

The possibilities are endless!

To spark your creativity, here are some examples of challenges our supporters have taken on in previous years:

  • Completing 100 sit-ups daily for 30 days
  • Spending 30 minutes on the trampoline every day
  • Participating in a 5k family dog walk
  • Doing a daily TikTok dance for 30 days
  • Riding a bike for 10 miles
  • Running a 26-mile relay
  • Walking 10,000 steps daily
  • Climbing 1000 steps daily for a week

Who can participate?

Everyone! Encourage your family and friends to join you, or embark on the challenge solo. You can even form your own team and devise a fun challenge. Consider involving your school, scouts/brownies, or football team for added excitement!

All participants will receive a bespoke TA medal, wristband and certificate

Why not raise more money?

Invite your friends and family to sponsor your challenge. Create an online fundraising page via JustGiving to gather more support for Tourettes Action. It's a user-friendly platform that ensures secure donations from your supporters.

The Rules:

  • Registration is £10 per adult and £5 per child (up to age 15)
  • Email us with details of your challenge and send us proof when you've finished (e.g. Strava, Fitbit, photograph)
  • Share a photo of your challenge on social media using the hashtag #MoveForTourettes, and we'll feature it in our Move for Tourettes Flickr gallery
  • Medals, wristbands and certificates will be sent out at the end of awareness month

**Special Offer for Schools and groups**

If your school or club wishes to participate during TS Awareness Month, we have a special offer for group bookings.

For just £1 per child, your school can host a TS Awareness Day, receiving a fundraising pack with balloons, leaflets, and a certificate. This is an excellent opportunity to support children with TS within your school and educate their peers about the condition. The same offer applies to groups, including clubs such as brownies, scouts, and football teams.

Hold an awareness lesson

Consider holding an awareness lesson on Tourette Syndrome at your school. We provide ready-made lesson plans containing presentations, videos, and worksheets suitable for all ages.
