TS Champions Programme
The Tourettes Action TS Champion programme brings together young people to advocate for and talk about TS and Tic Disorders in their local community and before their peers at school and clubs. We will be recruiting for a new cohort of TS Champions in 2025, so watch this space.
Spread Tolerance of TS
The aim is to educate young people to spread tolerance of and understanding about TS, while displacing the myths and stereotypes that are often associated with the condition. The teen and their adult parent (or guardian) comprise a TS Champions Team – with the teen giving presentations and the adult helping with scheduling and other arrangements.
Develop Your Skills
This is an excellent opportunity for personal development in many areas including:
- Building friendships
- Representing the TS community to raise awareness of what is still a very misunderstood condition
- Training on public speaking
- Improve leadership skills
- Build confidence
- Expand communication skills
